The term "private collection" means "escorting." You’ll show up for a shoot, and there will not be a crew — just you and some guy (likely untested) and a camera in a hotel room. This is a very dangerous, uncomfortable, and highly unprofessional situation. If it’s a “private collection,” it is NOT legal.

There’s a misconception that if you’re filming it, it is legal. For you to be fully protected by the First Amendment, there has to be intent to distribute. So if a client does the filming and distributes the film, it can still be illegal — if it’s solely for sexual gratification. So just because there’s a camera present while you are being paid to perform a sexual act doesn’t mean it’s legal.
