I See Fake Agents:

Everywhere!

More than half of the agencies in the industry are unlicensed and operate outside the guidelines and safety measures set-up by the California State Labor Commissioner. Those agencies do not disclose that information, along with not providing illegitimate talent license numbers.

Fortunately, most studios do not book with unlicensed agents, essentially not rewarding them for cutting corners and failing to obtain a valid license.

The fake agents don’t give up easily, and often offer the talent at discounted rates or compromised safety conditions. It’s also common for these shady agents to bribe a producer with an “audition” from their talent, in exchange for a potential job. That’s NOT how things work with a real agency!

Most of the time, the models don’t even know they’re being offered at lower standards. Those models end-up shooting content typically well below rates, pushed to perform extreme acts outside their comfort level, or even being booked for a “shoot” where it’s a dude in a room and there’s no camera around. It happens. Do your homework before you sign on the dotted-line.

The California State Labor Commissioner Board has conducted a full background check on Motley Models, and we passed with flying colors. All senior representatives of Motley have been fingerprinted, their backgrounds meticulously examined, along with our business location thoroughly inspected, and Motley has been bonded. We have taken all the compulsory steps to be approved for a talent agency license.
